Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi, a Nigerian musician, claims that her appearance nearly barred her from entering a passport office.
On Thursday, the mother of one shared a story on Instagram about how she was first denied entry into the passport office owing to her unsuitable attire.
She stated that she needed to remove her nose ring and earring.
“I went to the passport office to get my passport done, and when I got to the gate, they said I should go back because I was indecently dressed,” Simi explained.
“I looked myself up and down and asked, ‘Can you see anything indecent in my body?'” He stated that he is unable to see, but that “I should go back and wear something more ‘down’.”
