Ameen Abiola, the family secretary of M.K.O. Abiola has stated that the family wants President Bola Tinubu to fulfill the deceased’s presidential entitlements.
At a prayer gathering on Monday at the home of the M.K.O. Abiola family in Gbagura, the capital of Ogun, Ameen spoke to the media.
The business magnate who won the contested June 12, 1993 presidential election received Nigeria’s highest honor, the GCFR, from former president Muhammadu Buhari.
The family stated that in addition to receiving their pensions, they eagerly anticipate the government fulfilling the promises Abiola made to Nigerians.
According to Ameen, the current administration would make sure that all “incentives due to Abiola get to the family.”
This administration is able to make sure that the Abiola family receives all rewards that are owed to them.
I believe this government would do everything to make sure that we get what we should have gotten from the previous government,” he added.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, said Abiola lived a good life worthy of emulation.
The governor charged Nigerians to “learn from his good deeds,” as he always followed the tenets of God in all his activities.
