Charly Boy, a well-known Nigerian singer, has attacked Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, over his recent controversial religious remark.
In a viral video, El-Rufai claimed that he and other northern governors utilized religion as a political weapon to help Asiwaju Bola Tinubu win the 2023 presidential election.
According to him, the decision to employ religion as a political strategy was made to help address the issue of tribalism and religion in Nigerian politics.
Concerned Nigerians warned the former governor not to set the country on fire, claiming he is a religious bigot.
Similarly, Charly Boy rushed to Twitter on Thursday to slam the former governor, branding him as an expired drug.
The tweet reads, “This small micro chip of a man called El-Rufai. No need to go on pretending that you desire the progress of ur country Nigeria that you have so stolen from.
“It is silly to go on pretending that you’re even a true Muslim. You’re an expired drug bad for the unity of this country”.
