In Taraba State’s Rafin-Kada Local Government Area’s Wukari Local Government Area, a farmer was killed by alleged militia members.
While working on his farm in the wee hours of Tuesday, June 5, 2023, the victim was fatally shot.
Nehemiah Mannaseh was the victim, according to a community member who identified himself only as Nwunuji Bawa.
He claims that the victim went to his farm to weed the grass before the groundnut harvest.
When he was killed, there weren’t many people on the property. He was shot in the mouth after being taken by surprise, Bawa claimed.
“After killing him, they came close to the town and were shooting in the air for minutes then withdrew back. Some community youth organized to search for him when they heard gunshots, and he was found lying in the centre of the farm in the pool of his blood.”
